CLIMATE DOODLES

IMAGES TO MAKE YOU THINK

They say a picture paints a thousand words and we couldn’t agree more. That’s why we’ve teamed up with James Garden from JG Mind Doodles to help us create some thought provoking imagery to share online and in print.

We’re calling them Climate Doodles.

James’ journey to becoming a digital artist is a compelling one. He started drawing back in the Summer of 2017 as a way of coping with severe anxiety and depression. Drawing allowed him to sum up how he was feeling when he couldn’t find the words.

He quickly developed the characters in his doodles and found his own style very quickly.

 James says

“I like to believe that my ‘darker’ pieces still hold hope in theme although at the time I may not have felt any hope in myself.

I kept fighting the darkness through my artwork and in the kind words people send me. I don’t know what ups and downs are around the corner but for the first time in years I am excited for what the future holds.

I hope people find some inspiration in my art to keep fighting and to help others who are also in a difficult place. Finding out that I wasn’t alone in this struggle was a huge part of my road to recovery and I cannot thank all the folks who message me enough for their support.

Jason and I share an unwavering passion for protecting the environment and I look forward to collaborating on many exciting projects.”

We’re excited too James!

Jason has been busy writing environmentally inspired poetry and short stories for the past 18 months and now, with James’ help, they are working on publishing their first book.

We’ll be sharing lots of regular updates and images on our website and across social media so keep an eye out.
